Saint Valentine's Day Celebration with Friends and Vendors for some Galentine's Fun!

Saint Valentine's Day is celebrated throughout the world honoring a Christian Martyr who heroically gave up his life for his faith. So, it was wonderful to celebrate my first Galentine's Day Celebration at Moonflower Ranch. I truly hope to inspire you on celebrating your friends Valentine's Day with this Galentine's Day Inspiration!

I was invited to attend a Galentine's Day Celebration at Moonflower Ranch with some amazing, local Boss Ladies. Christina, owner of Moonflower Ranch hosted us with delicious treats from Irene's Dessert Table a local Dessert Artisan, and close friend of mine! I designed name cards for Irene's Desserts and tags for attendees wine glasses. This was truly a beautiful day to celebrate our friendship! Jesse of Mommy Poppins Balloons created a balloon arch for this special day.

October - Cancer Awareness Month

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month & Sea & Sun Calligraphy throughout October is wearing it pink! As a survivor of breast cancer in October 2012, I would like to advocate the importance of early detection. Because of modern technology and early detection there are over 3 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. today.

Breast Cancer Statistics

About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12.4%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. In 2018, an estimated 266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 63,960 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. Getting Screened

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the U.S., but it can be successfully treated. Screening tests can find cancer early, when chances for survival are highest. Regular screening tests (along with follow-up tests if diagnosed) reduce your chance of dying from breast cancer.Have a mammogram every year starting at age 40 if you are at average risk.
