Beginner's Pointed Pen Calligraphy
My sister and I took the Beginner's Pointed Pen Modern Calligraphy class that Marisol offers and we absolutely loved it! We enjoyed her class so much! We both left feeling like we had a strong foundation after having no previous experience with Calligraphy. My love for calligraphy began in 7th grade at Carnegie Middle School in LAUSD in Carson, California, where I learned fountain pen calligraphy. Later as an adult I began exploring Pointed Pen Calligraphy and through trial and error I finally mastered this beautiful art.
In 2020 we moved back to San Pedro, California and I can't wait to teach others the beauty of pointed pen calligraphy.
Our Pointed Pen Calligraphy Workshops have relaunched for Fall & Winter of 2022 and beyond.

Calligraphy script practice worksheets, transparent worksheets, you will learn the alphabet A-Z uppercase and lower case, numbers and punctuation practice sheets.

You will learn the basics of calligraphy, an overview of needed supplies, how to use the calligraphy pen and nib, learn the pen strokes by using exemplar alphabet, punctuation marks, number practice guide sheets are included, and basic intro how to write simple words.

In this world where technology is taking over and Handwriting skills are forgotten, this class is a wonderful option to inspire children to love the art of Beautiful writing. Calligraphy means, the art of writing beautifully.
This is a 2-hour session. The student will learn the basic strokes of the Italic Calligraphy Script, tools most commonly used, writing each letter of the Alphabet to writing words, then to creating wonderful masterpieces with their calligraphy.
Materials Included:
1 Sea & Sun Calligraphy Workbook, Alphabet Exemplars, and Guide Sheets.
In order to keep costs down, the student must purchase the pen and transparent paper. Please contact me to register for your session. The supply list needed for this course will be emailed to the student.

This one-on-one session will help the student master this art.
This is a 1 1/2 hour 2-hour session. Students will learn the basic strokes of the Italic Calligraphy Script, tools most commonly used, writing each letter of the Alphabet to writing words, then to creating wonderful masterpieces with their calligraphy. Sea & Sun Calligraphy Alphabet Exemplars and Guide Sheets provided other materials such as calligraphy pens and paper are NOT included. When purchasing the class you will be told which pen and paper pad to purchase. Please contact me to register for your session.

Liability Waiver / Parent Waiver
A parent must be present at all times during the workshop for children attending. As parent/guardian, you individually and on behalf of your child, release and agree to hold Sea and Sun Calligraphy harmless from any and all liability and hereby assume all risk and responsibility and waive any claim or cause of action of any nature whatsoever arising on behalf of your child while at Sea and Sun Calligraphy. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sea and Sun Calligraphy while participating in this class. You have read and understood the above policy and agree to comply with its provisions.
In the case of an emergency, we ask that a minimum of 1 (one) parent be present at all times during the workshop of minors.
Responsibility of Parent/Guardian Policy
The following policy reflects our concern for your child’s physical welfare. Please read carefully. We cannot admit your child without your consent to this waiver. Sea and Sun Calligraphy is NOT responsible for children/students before or after the hours for which they are registered for the class. Parents are required and welcome to enter Sea and Sun Calligraphy at the program’s stated start time through the end time.
Tuition, however, only covers teaching time and materials and does not include supervision before or after class hours. Please arrive in a timely manner to your class.
Photo Policy: Our students are our best ambassadors and we often photograph their hands and/or video students while writing and using their calligraphy tools and worksheets during the lesson for promotional purposes without any compensation. Photo release forms are distributed for each class that is documented for promotional purposes. The parents can be exempt from this by notifying our studio of their preference and filling out our forms.
Sea and Sun Calligraphy reserves the right to require parents or guardians to withdraw an attendee/child from class for disruptive behavior at any time.
By purchasing Sea and Sun Calligraphy workshops, the parent/parents/guardian/and/or guardians agree and accept this policy.
